Thursday 21 January, 7pm
One of London’s most popular destinations, on this virtual tour we’ll be exploring off the beaten track to find stories of successes and disasters, pirates and royals.
Often with history, it isn’t always black and white. The heroes we think we know often have a shady past. We’ll be winding our way down quieter paths, in search of the unusual history, inspiring philanthropists and dastardly villains.
Thursday 28 January, 7pm
Explore the picturesque streets and green spaces of Hampstead and Highgate on this virtual tour. Join me to discover the hidden history of this beautiful part of the London. Starting as an 18th century rural retreat and spa town, it still has a neighbourhood feel today and we’ll be exploring it like locals.
As well as the more hidden historic gems, the virtual tour will visit the famous Highgate Cemetery and iconic green spaces.
Thursday 4 February, 7pm
Join me to discover the history-packed west side of the City of London. Starting from St Paul’s Cathedral we’ll be heading along the historic thoroughfare of Fleet Street, looking of for the wealth of hidden details hiding in plain sight.
We’ll be ducking into the network of little passages that reveal the history of printing, monastic ruins, temples, Georgian homes and even a supposed Roman bathhouse. The virtual tour will also cross the city boundary and explore some of the historic and surprising gems of Holborn.
Thursday 11 February, 7pm
This virtual tour will track the path of the Regent’s Canal from Little Venice to Limehouse, exploring the dramatic changes that 19th century London experienced.
Virtually walking through Regent’s Park, Camden, Islington, Mile End and Limehouse this jam-packed tour will cover much more than could be seen on a regular walk. We’ll be visiting surprising museums, underground tunnels and all the highlights along this scenic route.
